Jared Shaw is a versatile drummer and percussionist who has performed on Broadway and held the drum chair for recent national tours, including Beautiful: The Carole King Musical and The Book of Mormon.

With a rich background in New York across live theater, studio, and concert settings, he has subbed on Broadway, including the demanding drum set book for Tommy, and played extensively Off-Broadway and on national tours.

A graduate of NYU Steinhardt in Percussion Performance, Jared studied under renowned professionals like James Saporito (Tony Awards Orchestra) and Shawn Pelton (SNL). He held the first drum chair for the NYU Broadway Orchestra and has led masterclasses and clinics at NYU and other institutions.

Behind the Kit & the Screen

Off the stage, Jared creates and edits video and audio content end to end. From performance videos and multi-cam edits to general video editing, audio production, scoring, and transcriptions, it’s all built in-house with Logic Pro X, the Adobe Creative Suite, and Final Cut Pro.
